Cradle Boards

The Navajo traditionally kept their babies in cradle boards, so that they could have their hands free, while keeping the baby safe and snug right by their side.

We made our own Navajo inspired cradle boards!  We designed our own rainbow arches, we measured our babies height (so the cradle board fit them) and then we put our baby dolls in!  Then the girls had to take their babies with them everywhere - to the rug, to the tables to work, to gym, to music, to science, even to their rest mats.
Luckily, once once or twice did I hear someone ask, "Where is my baby?"
