Blue & Gold Day

Lunch: 11:30 in the classrooms
Race: 12noon
* We recommend that very kindergartner have a grown-up.
T-Shirts: T-shirts will be on sale next week. The shirts are $15. You may purchase a shirt with cash or a check made out to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
Lunch: Lunch will be in the classroom at 11:30am. Please bring your lunch and join us!
The Big Race: The race beings at 12noon on the lower fields. Pre-K will race first, followed by kindergarten. Our races last about 5 minutes, so please be on time to watch us run.
Big Race Nerves: Your daughter may say that she is scared, but not to worry. Year after year, we have found that %99 of the girls run the race. You might want to reassure your daughter that her teacher will be right beside her to take care of her.
After the Race: The kindergartens will gather at the end of the field and you can meet us down there. Racing on Blue & Gold day is a little like a rock concert: it is very loud and exciting and the entire girl's division is on the field cheering! The girls will enjoy watching the races for a bit, but then we recommend you take your daughter home to rest.
Dismissal: We recommend that you take your daughter home after the kindergarten race is over. Please make sure that you let a kindergarten teacher know when you are leaving.
Friday Night: Friday night is very much an open option for kindergarten girls. The girls will gather on the field to do the chicken dance they have been practicing in gym class and will start when directed by Dr. Sands or the Master of the Ceremonies. All of the cheers and dances start around 7pm. You can expect your daughter to be quite tired after their busy, exciting day and you may want to take your daughter home after the dances. There are many other Blue & Gold Days ahead!
