We learned that hummingbirds love the warm climate of the Southwest and are able to drink nectar through their long beaks from the flowers growing in the desert.
We decided that we could become hummingbirds! The girls all drew colorful flowers to fit on the tops of their snack cups, we made nectar (fruit smoothies) and we used straws for beaks!
